The Water Quality Assoc. and The National Ground Water Assoc. are two not-for-profit industry organizations that offer specialized training, professional certification and continuing education programs to the water treatment and water well industries.
Did You Know?
The Department of Health does however require that small community water operators be licensed and maintain their certification through continuing education. (AquaSource maintains a N.Y.S. Licensed Grade C Water Plant Operator on Staff.)
As of March 2000, New York State requires any contractor installing or working on a water well or pump system to be registered and certified by the Department of Environmental Conservation. (AquaSource, Inc. DEC Registration #: NYRD1102
